EDUCATION:
Everyone requires a chance to gain a good education. Our
children are the foundation of California's future. As your State Senator I will support additional scholarships
and funding so our students get the education they deserve and can afford. My Master's Degree in Education (Counseling)
will support this effort.
SENIORS AND VETERANS:
The cost of living increases while our seniors continue to have the same income. Seniors must be accounted
for when inflation arises. Senior discounts and incentives must be planned accordingly. We must insure that all
Veterans receive the treatment they earned for their time in service. I am also a Army Retired Veteran, I
have first hand knowlege on Veteran policy and procedures. Working and living at Walter Reed Army Medical Center
in Washington D.C. was a big challenge. I will support that every eligible Veteran and Homeless person in
California lives under a protected roof.
PUBLIC PROTECTION:
It
is very important that we "keep the peace". As crime permits I will support more police officers and new ways
to fight all crime, and rehabilitation programs for offenders for a better life. Supporting our local Fire Fighters
is a serious matter. California must insure that all Fire Departments have operational equipment, training,
and the funds required to save lives and property.
ENVIRONMENT:
As a former Air Quality Management employee I know what it takes to insure that our people in District 37 breathe
healthy air. I have for California a plan that will improve air quality, family planning, gas consumption, and
automobile traffic. As our population increases in Riverside County a long-term Clean Water Adjustment Plan must be established
to insure our water for our health is protected.
HEALTH CARE:
Universal and affordable healthcare for all. Avoiding long waits for major medical conditions and never
turning down a customer/patient requesting treatment. My work in the Health Care industry (VA, Army, and Public sector)
and 25 years in the Computer Information System field of work and my systems degree will lead us in the right direction.
TRANSPORTATION:
Road improvements, and a Railway System Plan from
the City to the Desert.
GROWTH AND BUSINESS:
Stop overcrowding, control
businesses that over extract pollutants, keep strong business to help our economy, and assist small business to stay operational.
